Mandarin Immersion (Part 39)

By Simon J. Lau

For my final post, I had hoped to share an amazing story about my last meal. Unfortunately, in my haste to make it to the airport, I had no time to enjoy it. Instead, I’ll share a picture of my favorite breakfast from this adventure: pork noodles, soup dumplings, and soy milk. 🍜🥟🥛

After breakfast, I took a bus to the airport. When I arrived at my final stop, I worried that I got off too soon. According to the app, I had to walk a mile from a residential street corner to the terminal. 🤔 I never imagined an airport entrance would be within walking distance of a residential street, but weirdly, it was. (Picture from inside the terminal.)

Now that I’ve made it home, I’m excited to spend the next few weeks on my next project. More on that later! In the meantime, as I like to say, don’t let work get in the way of living. Have fun, get out, and explore!✌🏼
